We are ecstatic to share the pictures we received from Halie and Cole's wedding. They didn't let anything get in the way of celebrating their love for one another!
"I had the best experience finding my perfect dress. I felt so welcomed by everyone as soon as I walked in. [My consultant] was so patient with me and helped me try on a little bit of everything until I narrowed down the style that I loved. Once we narrowed that down it wasn't long at all before I was standing in THE dress in front of my family and friends. I have been dress shopping at Mia Grace with many of my girlfriends who took their turn finding their perfect dress." - Halie
Their Love Story
Cole and Halie met via Facebook. Although Cole and his dad have worked for Halie’s dad in the past and their families knew each other, their paths had never crossed. Cole was brave and messaged Halie and asked her out to dinner. Their first date was on March 7, 2018 at Harry J’s Steakhouse. Since then, Halie has gotten Cole out of Pike County quite a bit. They have been to Texas, Montana, Tennessee, and Washington DC. They have made so many wonderful memories together.
She Said Yes!
The night Cole proposed, Cole and Halie went to dinner with their friends at Harry J’s. After dinner, they all headed back towards Cole’s house. When they got close, Cole said he had a surprise for Halie and her friend. Cole started driving back to the open hay field where Halie and Cole go to look at the stars. He asked Halie to dance and turned on “This Is It” by Scotty McCreery. About halfway through the song, he pointed and told Halie to turn around. Across the field was a stack of big round bales with Christmas lights on them that spelled out, “Will you marry me, Halie?” He then got down on one knee and asked Halie to be his wife. She said “YES!” Then Cole yelled out, “you can come out now, she said yes.” Halie’s parents, her sister, her friend, and Cole’s parents all came out from behind the bales to congratulate them. It was absolutely perfect and everything they hoped it would be!
Wedding
Halie and Cole's wedding was planned to have a little over 300 people attending with a full reception after the ceremony. Then COVID hit. The couple had to make the difficult decision of moving the ceremony to parents, grandparents and siblings only and postponing the reception to a later date. Cole and Halie both grew up on a farm, so they knew they wanted to have a country flair to the theme. After their small intimate ceremony, Halie and Cole left the church only to find all of their family and friends waiting for them out in the parking lot with signs congratulating them and cheering for them. They were able to have their first dance as husband and wife in the parking lot of the church surrounded by the people they love the most. The day was more perfect than Halie and Cole could have ever imagined. The couple feels so blessed and lucky to have such loving, caring, and supportive people in their lives.
