Their Love Story
Tara and Austin started dating their freshman year of high school at the age of 15! While trying to maintain a long-distance relationship while away at college, they broke up (a few times). As fate would have it, they met up four years later and the rest is history! It definitely isn’t your typical love story, but they wouldn’t have it any other way!
The Proposal
After moving into their first home, Tara and Austin were hosting a house warming party for their family and friends. Austin’s mom, Paula, wanted to take a picture of them in front of their new home before everyone arrived (or so Tara thought). After taking a picture holding a chalkboard that read “First Home,” Austin tossed the chalkboard into one of their newly planted flower pots, pulled a ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee! Shocked and surprised, Tara was completely speechless! Once she processed what was happening, she immediately said yes!
A Dream Come True
On September 16th, Tara and Austin celebrated their union with a gorgeous ceremony at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Haven! Following the ceremony, the bride and groom continued the celebration at the Washington Brewery Banquet Hall! Tara looked so beautiful in her bridal gown from the David Tutera Collection for Mon Cheri! This breathtaking fit and flare silhouette features an intricate lace pattern throughout the entire gown and a fabulous embellished neckline! Tara’s bridesmaids looked lovely in their dresses as well! This one-shoulder dress from the Wtoo Bridesmaids Collection has a fun front keyhole and a flattering A-line skirt. Their wonderful wedding was created through the hard work from the following vendors:
