Their Love Story
Britni and Travis are high school sweethearts! They met their sophomore year in Spanish and they were best friends for 2 years before they realized that there was something more! She went with him and his family on vacation in November of that year and that is when she started to fall in love with him. Then in April of their senior year, they started dating! They went on to attend the same college, University of Central Missouri, where their love continued to grow, be tested, and persevere.
The Proposal
Travis is always one to pull out all of the stops! He is a “Go Big or Go Home” kind of guy, so the proposal was nothing short of amazing! It was their senior year at UCM, and Travis was being honored as “Outstanding Senior” of his entire graduating class. His entire family was in town in order to be there when he was being recognized. Little did Britni know what his acceptance speech would entail. Britni and Travis had been joking before the banquet that she should get an award for most supportive girlfriend because she went to every event for their department. So, when Travis went on stage to accept his award, they all clapped and cheered, but then the announcer called Britni up on stage wanting to honor her as well! She went up on stage and was facing out to the crowd as they talked about all she did for the department. Meanwhile Travis was getting her ring out of his cowboy boots and getting down on one knee behind her. The announcer said, “ya know, I think Travis wants to say thank you too.” So, she turns around and he was down on one knee! In front of all their friends and his family and the Agriculture department, he proposed! She was in total shock and she had no clue it was going to happen.
A Dream Come True
On September 23rd, Britni and Travis celebrated their wedding at the Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri! Britni chose a romantic, princess feel with a rustic edge for her very special day. Her wedding colors were rose gold, charcoal grey and ivory! The centerpieces were wooden slats with rose gold mason jars and either a grey or ivory accent jar with silk flowers inside of them! Her bouquet featured muted blush tones to compliment the rose gold glitter of the bridesmaid dresses. Britni looked absolutely stunning her Allure Bridals wedding dress, which features a beautiful high neck bodice and a full tulle skirt! The bodice is covered in intricate beadwork and the illusion back is so phenomenal. Their wonderful wedding was created through the hard work from the following vendors:
